Historical Shape

For this assignment we were supposed to reproduce a famous work by using shape.

I chose this work simply because I think its beautiful.

5. "Ideas"

My first idea was to do as many little shapes as possible to showcase the tremendous detail of the work but then I just got extremely overwhelmed. I then remembered a quote by Picasso stating something around the lines of him having learned how to paint well in four years but taking a lifetime to learn how to draw like a child. I decided then that Id try to draw it like a child especially because they use lots of shapes in their drawings.

6. "Best Part of my Artwork"

My favorite thing about my recreation is that it looks like the painting. Obviously it doesn't look exactly like it but I like that I didn't end up making something that looked nothing like the painting.
